Blue Belt

Mom of the year award was lost when I forgot to take my camera to Micah's last Taekwondo testing :( Even my "emergency camera" that lives in my purse had a dead battery :( I was stuck with my silly 4s' camera which isn't the best by all means.....
The good news is, he passed and is now a blue belt. Halfway to a black belt!! And still enjoying it. CBBA has recently expanded their studio, and now have video monitors so that you can see your child from the front as well. It's a major plus.

Hodge Podge

One day around a month ago, Micah came home telling me that Alexis' parents BOTH came to eat lunch with her at school. And he wanted me to come and eat with him..... I had been successful thus far. He never even asked last year. The school lunchroom is my least favorite place inside of a school. When I worked at The Fort I had way too much lunchroom duty I guess. I can not stand to watch children act like animals at the table. It's loud, and just not my idea of a good time at all. I jokingly told Ms. Greene about Micah asking me to come to lunch, knowing good and well, I'd better do it sooner than later. But when she asked me when I was coming 2 weeks later, I decided that I better set a date. Patton and I stopped by Chick-fil-a, got our own lunch and some food for Ms. Greene, and Ms. Brech, and headed to the school. The lunchroom was FULL, the poor little girl behind me handed me her applesauce with tears in her eyes (she couldn't open it) and told me that her grandmother or mom didn't send her a spoon.... While she was talking to me, she spit on my face. I almost threw up there in the floor! I told her that i was sorry that she didn't have a spoon (not sure what I was supposed to do) she proceeded to eat the entire container by sticking and licking her finger *GAG* What in the world?! Ms. Greene joined us at the end of Micah's lunch. We ended up staying with her while she ate and had a nice visit. Lunch with Micah= crossed off my list for now :)

The Yellow Daisy Festival is way more up my alley. Sarah and I got to go last Thursday. We had a great time and I was SO thankful for Aiden who watched Patton for me!

Celebrate Freedom came, and Micah DID get to go. Stacy and Micah left early in the morning and didn't get home until well after bed time. MIcah's favorite musician of the whole day was Laura Story. But the characters, petting zoo, inflatables, and sugary drinks were a Major plus!!

I think the BEST part of his day was actually Meeting Kevin and Taylor!! It was a dream come true for that sweet boy!

Patton's First Day

Although I was a little nervous and sad that Patton is THREE and is ready to go to school, I felt better knowing that he will be loved as much at school as he is at home. I had taken him several times to play at school and try to get used to it before just dropping him off. He was excited that Noah, and Brayden were going to be in his class.... We actually know the a lot of the kids which is SO nice. Mrs. Scott is one of my most favorite people in the world and we are SO excited to be in her class again!

I was SO excited to get this text on the first day!!

Patton goes to school 3 mornings a week which although would seem like a break, is not. My schedule now days at least 3 days a week is wake up, get 2 boys ready for school. Drop #1 off, drop #2 off. Go to the gym, followed by Hobby Lobby, Michael's, Publix etc. if I have time after working out. Pick #2 up. Feed him lunch, he naps, I craft or clean. Wake him up to go pick up #1. Homework, supper, books, and bed. Right now Thursday is my only slow day. I enjoy spending the day at home (no gym) or trying to catch up on house things. Friday morning I am LOVING going to the gym beside my house (yes I joined 2!) This one has classes AND childcare! I LOVE doing the "Insane Cardio" class on Friday morning. Yes it is Insane, but I LOVE it! I feel SO good afterward. I have talked several friends into trying it with me and they love it too. If nothing else I am getting more exercise now than I have in 2 years and I LOVE it!

Spider-Man!

Spider-Man is one of Patton's favorite things. Even though he knows very little about the actual character himself, every time he sees ANYTHING Spider-man he gets SUPER excited. So having a Spider-Man party was the way to go for his 3rd birthday. It was SO simple compared to Micah's! We had pizza and chips, along with a Spider-Man cake, Spider-Man cookies, and cupcakes. Most of our favorite people were in attendance, but we missed some too! :( We swam, ate, opened presents, and got a visit from Spider-man himself. Over all, even though the party was simple, quick, and easy... it was a hit!

First Day of the First Grade

I can not believe that we officially have a FIRST grader! Micah LOVES school. Micah Needs school. Thankfully MIcah slept a whole lot later this summer. LAst summer he was up and playing/ making noise at about 4:30 most every morning. This summer, he was better to stay in his room and play quietly. I'm trying my best to train the boy that there is no reason to EVER be awake before 6:45 or 7:00 would even be nicer. I NEED my sleep, and apparently Micah does NOT. Either way, now school has begun he's still getting up around 6 and is Slap worn out every.single.day. He is still on his radio calling kick. Just this week he made a call and got to be a "junior joker." I was asleep and missed it :( But for goodness sakes, I can not wake up as early as him. He's trying SO hard to win Backstage passes to Celebrate Freedom. He has BIG plans to go and spend the day watching concerts. He SO hopes to win tickets and calls at least 20 times every.single.morning at 6:20 and 7:20. When he finally got through on Monday the tickets were gone for that time period, but he got to speak with Kevin. What he asked was "How long have you been married?" So strange what that boy comes up with, but whatever. Either way he is in the First grade now. He has several kids that were in his class last year in his class again this year. His teacher is young and seems to be nice. She is currently working on getting her gifted certification which is why Micah and one other girl got her. They are the two 1st graders who go to SCOPE. So far MIcah seems to be (from what he's telling me) doing very well. He has earned several 'starbucks' and has yet to have to move his name down. I'm hoping he's trying hard! He still hasn't made very many new friends that he will talk about. I asked him who he plays with at the playground and he told me nobody. So I asked he ever played with Ethan or Brain some boys from his class last year, who are in another class this year. He told me "Not really." So I asked "What in the world do you do when y'all go outside then?" He said "I mostly just talk to Mrs. Greene if she's out there." LOL What a hoot!

The last day of summer

Kay invited Micah to come ride horses on the last day of summer break. We headed to the farm and were so excited to see Mama, and the Rosbury fam already there. Aiden has been training with Kay and helping with the horses this summer.
