Taekwondo
After a whole lot of talking to people, researching it, and thinking about it, we decided to let Micah try Taekwondo. We took him to a place that came highly recommended from several friends. We let him try it out. He liked it and wanted to join. $60+ and we were in. The classes are $12 a piece and they would like for you to come once or twice a week. We are choosing to go once. I have already realized that this is going to be one expensive sport. Between uniforms, classes, and testing we're looking at $800- $1000 a year. BUT we are hoping to see some major improvements in attention, obedience, and coordination. The school is run by a pastor and the students are required to learn Bible verses and Micah is doing Extremely well at that. Now to get good at the moves. We've been going for 3 weeks now and so far Micah is the only white belt (beginner) that we've come in contact with. Most of the kids have been taking classes for 1-2 years! Micah was SO excited to break his first board!

100th Day
I was So excited to learn about the 100th day of school celebration, probably more excited that Micah. As soon I could, I started preparing for the BIG day. There was going to be a carnival in the Kindergarten hallway, and the children were supposed to dress up like they were 100 years old! I volunteered to help run games and bought Micah some black dress shoes. He has 2 brown pair, but an old man needs some black shoes. I message my sweet friend Amie asking her if there was any way that she could make me some super cute suspenders and a bow tie. I had big plans for my little man. I asked Stacy to make Micah a walker and we colored his hair (it didn't work really well... maybe his hair is too dark?) I spent $3 on hair color, $15 on black dress shoes, $20 on suspenders and bow tie, and $30 on a walker. But this picture is absolutely PRICELESS!

I decided to walk in the school with Micah because I wanted a picture of him and Ms. Greene. Little did I know all of the teachers that we passed also wanted pics of/ with him ;) I think he was quite happy with the reactions. I was so worried that he wouldn't cooperate, boy I was wrong!

I really liked the idea of this sweet pail that I found on Pinterest. I wanted to make it for Teacher Appreciation week, but then I wondered what the point would be right before school was out, so I decided to give it for the 100th day. I think it turned out kind of cute.

Here are the other friends in the class who dressed up. How cute are those little girls!?

After dropping Micah off, I headed to Mama's to drop Patton off. Due to security, volunteers are asked to not bring siblings..... Not that I would have wanted to anyway. I came back home and changed into warmer clothes (I was SO cold) before heading back to the school. I got there and checked in. The lady behind the desk asked for my ID. I explained that I left it in the car and that I didn't think I needed it unless I was checking someone out. She explained that everyone who comes into the school must show lDs now. That is fine. I just had to run out and get it, in the cold. I got it and was heading back into the school when I realized that I locked my keys in the car :( How awful. How sad. I just kept my fingers crossed that the SRO had something to help me. Stacy was NOwhere close, Mama had no way to come to me being that I didn't leave her a car seat for P. I went back into the school, showed her my ID and told her what happened. She thought Ms. Frieda probably had something to help me too..... She didn't. I was sad, but what else can you do. We don't have AAA, although now thinking about it, I should have just asked some teachers until I found someone who did, and ask them if I could use theirs.....
Oh well, we just need to bite the bullet and get AAA, I guess. Meanwhile I called this guy at a local lock and key place. He came and $55 later, I was back in business. This was quite an expensive event huh?

I was only missing for the carnival for 5 minutes, and came back to find this sweet sweet boy.

Fun ending to a fun week
Micah has been asking me to come do something with his class for about two weeks now, but I have been so busy. I decided that I would go this week. I asked Ms. Greene if I could come today and she said yes. I asked Aiden to stay with Patton because due to security reasons, siblings aren't allowed to come with parents when they volunteer. She was so excited to watch Patton while he was actually awake.
After dropping Aiden off at the house, I headed to the school with supplies in hand. I brought materials for them to make Marshmallow snowmen with candy accessories.

They turned out super cute, and the children were proud and loved them. They also loved the fact that after they were finished decorating their snowmen, I let the eat a little of the supplies:) I sure do Love compliments and one sweet little girl told me "I wish you were my mom." What a sweet thing to say!

After crafting with the class, I headed home. I took Aiden home and came back to the house where Stacy was waiting to go out to lunch. We decided to go to a local Mexican place. We sat down, ordered drinks and cheese dip. Then my phone rang. I thought it was a moonwalk call and that I would just call them back after having lunch. I listened to the message. It was not about a moonwalk. It was the nurse from Micah's school. He was sick. I apologized to the waitress and we ran to the school. Poor Micah was as pale as could be and was covered in throw up. The nurse let me know that she had 4 kids from his class in the clinic and that Micah "Decorated the 1st grade bathroom." Micah laid on the couch ALL afternoon and didn't say much. He cried a little, and ended up throwing up 3 more times.

He said that the nurse told him he couldn't have ice cream if he was sick. I wasn't sure where in the world where that came from.... Until I heard from his teacher tonight. She said that 5 ended up having to be checked out and that they were going to have to "bomb" their classroom. She said that he was in his first grade reading class when he started to feel sick and that he told the teacher that he "shouldn't throw up because he was vaccinated." What an interesting thing to say. And the other thing about ice cream was because the 2 time delayed "Kindness Citations" were supposed to be today. That is for children who have done good things to go eat ice cream with the principal. Ms. Greene let me know that the principal said that Micah could come to the next one. How sweet is that?!
Micah finally thought that he could try to eat something around 6:00. As soon as he ate, he was back to his wild crazy self. He got loud, started playing, and jumping all over the place. Hoping he continues to be well over night and that the rest of us stay well too.

Catch Air!!
I have been hearing about Catch Air for a while now, but I thought it was like Monkey Joe's. I own inflatables, so Monkey Joe's isn't one of my favorite places. I don't prefer to pay for my children to play on things that we own. Heather and Sarah planned a trip to Catch Air before Christmas, but Patton didn't sleep well the night before, so we decided not to go. It was a first time for both of them, and they both Loved it. I knew we would have to go to see what all of the hype was about. Sarah planned another trip last week. Although this time Heather couldn't come because Brayden had an accident at Macy's and knocked his tooth loose. I picked up Sarah and Noah and we headed to Suwannee. Sarah recently moved to Kennedy Farm and is living closer to me than she ever has! I am so super excited that we can be at each other's homes within 20 minutes! That's huge!
We got to Catch Air and got to wait on them to open. We were the first ones there and the ONLY ones there for at least an hour. It was so nice. We used an internet code and got in for $4.24. We spent 3 hours there and everyone had a Great time. So much so, there's another playdate planned for another day soon!
They finally made it to the top!!

They LOVED the ball pit!
And the exercise room....
But Sarah's favorite was the slide! She probably went down it 10 times!
Patton gettin' down on the dance floor :)

What an afternoon
The weather was not the best this afternoon. I received several calls from the school today updating me on afternoon plans. The last call I got, told me that due to the awful weather and the fact that buses are not made for driving in such conditions that they were keeping the bus riders at school until the weather got better. That was fine because MIcah is a car rider anyway. The man on the recording said that car riders would be released as usual. I totally understand that the lady who writes down the children's names didn't want to be out in the weather, but I thought people would drive through the line like normal, and 2-3 kids would be loaded under the shelter. I figured that it would take longer, but not over an hour! I showed up to the school the same time I do every day and sat, and sat, and sat some more. I began to see people getting out of their cars and going into the school, they came out with children. I began to think the only way that I would ever get MIcah was if I went inside and checked him out. The problem was I had Patton and Riley in the car and it was POURING down rain. I decided to stick it out in double lines of people trying to pick up their children.
Finally. Finally the cars started to move, slowly but surely. I turned my key and nothing happened. I wondered if I had left it cranked the entire time. I turned the key the other way to turn the car off. It didn't turn off. I tried again to crank my car. NOTHING :( I had babies, it was storming, everyone had been waiting for what seemed like forever, and my car died right there in line :( I seriously almost started crying right then and there, but instead, I got out of my car and let the man behind me know that I wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. This sweet sweet man asked me what was wrong. I told him that I couldn't get my car to crank. He came to my car and told me it was the battery. He told me that he had a "jumper box" in his car. He quickly jumped my car off and we were good to go. What a blessing!!
Now my car is cranked, and I am SOAKED, the cars sloooowwwwly pulled around to the front of the school. I pulled smack in the front of the school and ran inside. I saw the sweet music teacher, I told him that I had to leave my car running and that I had 2 babies inside. I was so afraid someone would hop in and take off. I offered him money to sit in my car until I had MIcah. He told me that He would go get MIcah and that I could go back to my car. Blessing times 2. Minus the way the parents couldn't figure out how to drive this afternoon through the line, I think the actual school did a great job. Now just hoping my car will crank tomorrow. Micah. Needs. School. What a day!

Blog on the back burner :(.....
I know I have not been up to date on my blogging which means, most things are gone from my memory forever :( But I have an excuse. I have been busy. I have not been keeping Riley regularly, which has been sad, but has opened up my time to a little (a lot) more crafting. I have a slight addiction with making and creating new things, even if they don't turn out wonderful, I've been having a great time. My friend Misti has been coming over for a craft day once a week and I am truly enjoying that! She teaches me a lot! Here a a few of the things I've been working on. I have plans for some more cake plates this week :)
